A Head of Software Asset Management is required by one of the world's largest companies to lead o team of Software Asset Managers (SAM) who are responsible for their global licensing agreements with the likes of Microsoft, SAP and Oracle etc.

In order to secure the Head of Software Asset Management role you will need to be Microsoft Licensing certified or similar and hold formal training / certification in ITIL and ISO 19770. You will also need to demonstrate experience in leading Software Asset Managers from within a major FTSE 250, global organisation or Tier 1 Solutions provider and also prove you have actual hands on experience of managing the licensing and contract negotiations on behalf of senior stakeholders with the likes of Microsoft, Oracle and SAP as well as with third party service providers. Naturally you will need excellent Senior Stakeholder relationship building skills and be able to demonstrate a clear expertise in the issues relating to Software Asset Management, such as discovery, novation, chargebacks, depreciation.
