Operations Analyst / SCOM / IT Infrastructure / VMWare / Active Directory / Linux or Unix

A leading financial services organisation in Central Manchester, are looking for an additional Operations Analyst to join their expanding department.

Working within a small team your role will be to monitor and execute the day to day operations and batch jobs across the group's Infrastructure.

Responsibilities include;-

*Processing of application batches, recording run times, success or failure and identifying /escalating exceptions.
*Monitoring of systems for early warnings of potential problems and error alerting. Responding to system alerts and ensuring incidents are logged, escalated and resolved.
*Perform manual checks on the am and pm Shift Reports including weekend checks Administer server/system/service restart schedules Keep daily, weekly and monthly Operations Management Information up to date and available for standard reporting.
*Implement authorised system releases
*Ownership of the design and administration of Microsoft System Center Operations (SCOM) ensuring all production system alerts and reports are managed and available.
*Total operational ownership of payment systems including SolveES, Opal, 3DSecure, X25/IP, HSM, card ranges, MID's and configs

Your skills and experience; -

*SCOM experience is desirable
*You'll have experience of working with business critical systems and ensuring production change control and scheduled operations are stringently enforced
*Active Directory & Windows domain infrastructure
*Exchange 2000/2003
*SQL Enterprise Manager
*RedHat Linux/Unix
*Intel & AMD hardware
