I was contacted by Lorien recently about an opportunity an outsourcing consultancy they thought I might be suitable for. I was surprised as this was an excellent opportunity and I had a gap on my CV from being self-employed so was routinely turned away for jobs of this level by other agencies.
I was very excited at this opportunity and agreed for Lorien to send my CV and see if the company were interested. They were and an interview was arranged. I was sent over all relevant documentation and was prepared over the phone for the type of interview I would be having, how long it was expected to take, what I would need to gain access to the building etc - they even arranged my parking!
A day before the interview I was called again to ensure I had everything I needed and reminded me to take in my passport as I would need it to enter the building as it is a secure site.
After the interview they kept me updated regularly for the next week as I waited to find out what was happening. And even though the company told me they wouldn't be choosing for nearly 2 weeks, Lorien managed to get a decision from them in just a week. All the paper work was managed through Lorien, including chasing up the HR department when my contract didn't arrive when it was supposed to.
All in all, I have dealt with a good number of recruitment agencies over the last few years and I can say that without a doubt, Lorien are head and shoulders above the rest. They do chase people. They do believe in their applicants. They were able to look past the 'gap' on my CV and see that my experience perfectly matched this position - and get me an interview with a great company who obviously felt the same way. I feel I have fitted in perfectly in my new role and owe it all to Lorien.
Anyone who uses this agency will not be sorry they did.
